Jezzine is a town located in southern Lebanon, about 73 km from Beirut. Covering an area of 2,421 hectares and sitting 952 meters above sea level, the town enjoys a fresh, dry climate in the summer and cold, snow-covered winters. It is famous for its waterfall, which is over 40 meters tall, as well as its rich tradition of craftsmanship. The town’s entrance is marked by a large statue of the Virgin Mary at the cliff's edge. Jezzine is a lush, water-rich region with beautiful pine and oak forests, deep valleys, springs, and waterfalls. Within Jezzine lies Bkassine, home to the largest productive pine forest in the Mediterranean, stretching over 1.2 million square meters and containing around 100,000 trees.

Things to do
We recommend going for a walk around the pine forest and then driving down to the bottom to reach La Maison de la Forêt, an eco-touristic site within Bkassine's pine forest which offers various activities, food and accommodation in the forest.
If you want to see the waterfall, head to this location to enjoy the view.
If you want a mountain view, head to L'Os restaurant to enjoy delicious food with a view, or if you feel adventurous, drive up the mountains. Here is a potential pinpoint with a good view which will lead you to the place in the image below where Pia is sitting.
If you decide to stay a night in Chouf, we recommend driving to Jezzine the day after or the other way around.
