Jeita Grotto, harissa and mountaintop bar
Jeita Grotto is a natural marvel consisting of two interconnected caves. This Lebanese landmark was one of the top 14 finalists in the New 7 Wonders of Nature competition. Spanning 5.6 miles (9 km), it holds the title of the longest cave system in the Middle East. Located just a 30-minute drive from Beirut, Jeita Grotto features a vast cave filled with impressive stalagmites, and visitors are taken on a boat ride through an underground river. From Jeita, head to Jounieh port and take the Téléphérique (a lift similar to a ski lift) to the top of Harissa. There, you can visit the church and enjoy stunning panoramic views. Go down on the Téléphérique back to Jounieh port and then drive to Amar, Harissa restaurant. For drinks in the evening, go to Olen.
